Ometepe is an island in Nicaragua, the second poorest country of the western hemisphere. Many families struggle daily, yet faith remains strong and prayer is a constant source of hope.
This project invites you to stand alongside them in compassion. Your support can bring relief, restore dignity, and help build a brighter future. Together, we can be part of the answer to those prayers.
We come alongside the people of Ometepe with compassion and practical support. Through financial aid, we help provide essentials like safe housing, medical care, and daily necessities for families in need. We share the message of hope by distributing Bibles and offering spiritual encouragement.
And we focus on the future by supporting people in learning skills and starting small businesses, so they can provide for themselves and their families.
There are aprroximately 60 churches on Ometepe. Here is an impression of a service in an evangelical church.
About
Called to serve
The founder of the project is Esther, God called her to Ometepe to serve. She lives within the community and is connected with multiple local churches. By living here she is able to serve daily and really see what the needs of the people here are.
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
Mission
So far we have helped several people
Until now we've been helping people spiritually by giving mental support, reading Bible together and praying for them. And financially by supporting their fysical needs. Here is a short impression of the work so far, which can be so much more expanded with your help.
The beautiful people of Ometepe will be so happy with your financial contribution to give them more hope and a future. Your personal presence here as volunteer or part of a mission trip will be even more of a blessing to them.
